'Unlocking the gates to a lifelong love of learning and faithfulness'
'Start children off in the way they should go and even when they are old, they will not turn from it' Proverbs 22:6
WE ARE A ‘TAKE CARE’ SCHOOL
We Take Care of ourselves
We Take Care of others
We Take Care of our community and the wider world
We Take Care with our work
At St. Peter’s C of E Primary & Nursery School, the growth and development of both children and adults is central to everything we do. We provide an education that inspires every child to be the very best they can be, now and in the future.
As a Church school, our ethos is rooted in distinctive Christian values. We embrace diversity, respect other faiths, and worship together as a caring and inclusive community.
We work together to provide an inspiring, inclusive and creative learning experience for every child. Our welcoming and safe environment encourages children to be happy, resilient and enthusiastic learners who feel confident to try new things.
Children are supported to take appropriate risks, learn from experience and develop a love of learning. Through this, they are able to experience life in all its fullness. We nurture the whole child and celebrate each one as a unique individual.
Our hope is that children leave St. Peter’s with confidence, well-prepared for the next stage of their education and ready to go beyond expectation. We encourage children to embrace challenge and understand that success is often built through perseverance, reflection and learning from mistakes.
We value our strong relationships with parents and carers, governors, the Church and the wider community. Everyone is encouraged to take an active role in school life, helping to build a shared sense of pride and belonging.
Together, we grow a community of love and dignity where everyone feels valued, cared for and supported. We celebrate the uniqueness of every individual, recognising that each person is made in the image of God.
We believe in caring for the whole child and supporting their development educationally, culturally, socially, emotionally, physically, morally and spiritually. We promote the highest standards of achievement for all pupils, regardless of ability, faith, background or gender.
Our core purpose is for every child to achieve deep personal development by taking care of themselves, others, the world around them and their work. We want our children to treasure their educational and spiritual journey, gathering the wisdom, knowledge and skills they need to thrive and experience life in all its fullness.
As a community, we are unlocking the gates to a lifelong love of learning which will always remain open.
These Christian values underpin all that we do in school so that our children may live out the Vision of the school.
