Summer Term Curriculum Overview

ART

As part of our art unit, children have been making abstract collage and textile images using a range of materials.  We have used techniques including reverse stencilling, printing and using chalk to paint.  We focused on pattern and colour rather than drawn images or icons.

We created a transparent pouch using a range of materials in sticky-back plastic.

Glow in the dark dodge ball 

We explored the story of 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' through play. We had lots of fun making 3 types of porridge, building chairs with Lego, acting out the story with both small world and character masks. 

Oh no! We returned from the Christmas break to find a crime scene in the classroom! We had to be detectives and identify the clues which told us our story for this half term. Can you guess?
