All school meals are prepared on-site by Mrs Kingscott and Mrs Scott. The menu is set according to the Nottinghamshire County Council's School Meals Menu which can be found via the link at the bottom of the page.
All children in Foundation Stage Two and Key Stage One (Years 1 & 2) are entitled to a free school meal.
If your child does not like either of the menu choices offered on a particular day, you are more than welcome to send in a packed lunch for your child.
We have introduced a meal ordering service. When a menu is sent home, please ensure that choices are identified by circling the chosen meal for each day. The sheet then needs to be returned to school by the specified date to ensure that your child receives the meal of their choice on each day.
If you do not specify menu choices, your child will be offered choice one from the menu.
Final dinner numbers will be adjusted for the kitchen on the same morning that the meal is served as quite a lot of children are ordering a meal when the sheet is sent home but then not taking it on the day.
If a child arrives after 9:30am, a meal will not be provided and the child will need to have a packed lunch on that day.
If you know that your child will be late into school on a particular morning due to a medical or dental appointment, and you would like your child to have a school dinner, YOU MUST INFORM THE SCHOOL OFFICE BEFORE 9:30 am otherwise, a meal will not be provided.
A school lunch for pupils in Key Stage Two costs £2.29 per day after Easter or £11.45 per week.
Cheques should be made payable to: NCC St. Peter's C of E Primary School
School meals should be paid for at the start of each week and money or cheques may be taken directly to the School Office or sent via the class teacher.
Some children in Key Stage Two school are entitled to receive free school meals. If you think that your child may be entitled to these, please speak to someone in the School Office.
Unfortunately, if school meals have not been paid for for one week, you will be asked to send a packed lunch in for your child until outstanding monies have been paid. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
As a Healthy School, we respectfully request that packed lunches do not contain any chocolate bars or fizzy drinks.
Biscuits or cakes may be included in the packed lunch but please limit these to one item per day. Thank you.
