Welcome to Class 3

A very warm welcome to Class 3.

Our main topic this term is the Ancient Greeks. This covers geography and history. If you have any pictures of Greece or any artefacts we can borrow please send them in. I am loving the TASC projects which have come in so far.

Reading

As children become more fluent readers it is still important that you continue to listen to them read and ask them questions such as “Why do you think…?” and “How do you know…?”.  .  Please continue to read to your children as research has shown that this is an important part of children’s development. Encourage your children to love reading and to read a wide selection of texts.

P.E.

P.E. lessons will generally be on Friday and Wednesday. It is important that the children have the correct P.E. kit and trainers or pumps.  Long hair needs to be tied back and ear-rings need to be removed.  On occasions  P.E. may be on a different day and so I would suggest that their P.E. kit is brought into school on a Monday morning .

If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact me . I am usually available after school.

I am looking forward to a very happy and successful year ahead.
