I live in Gringley-on-the-Hill with my wife Susan; we have two adult daughters. I am a doctor, retired from a busy general practice where I was the senior partner responsible for all areas of child and adult health. Within St Peter’s, I am a Foundation governor with particular interest in the welfare of our pupils and the maintenance of Christian values within the school.

I was appointed a Foundation Governor by the PCC in 2017 and volunteered to support the Finance and Facilities work that the Governors do. As part of this work, I am helping the school manage the budget, making sure we have good controls but also helping plan for the investments we want to make in the facilities and teaching resources.

My background is in insurance where I own and run a brokerage that specialises in the charity and community sector. I hope that some of this experience managing risk will be useful to the school and I am actively involving myself in supporting and overseeing health and safety too.

I have two boys and live in Gringley with my wife, Clare, who is in school occasionally, teaching piano.

Headteacher

Yvonne Reeson appointed 1st January 2016

Member of the Full Governing Body

Chairperson of the Strategic Development and Pupils Committee

Committees: Finance, Premises & Personnel and Strategic Development & Pupils

I have been teaching since 1993 and have been Headteacher of St. Peter’s since January 2016.

I consider myself to be very privileged to be leading such a wonderful school with fantastic children and staff. I am extremely happy in my job and whilst it's very hard work, it is also a very rewarding job. No two days are ever the same and the children never fail to bring a smile to my face.

I love drama, music, singing, reading (when I get the time) and tap dancing and I spend a significant amount of my weekends with my family and 2 dogs in muddy fields!

Early Years Foundation Stage link governor

I am a Foundation Governor, re-appointed by the PCC in 2018 and having served since 2010. I am the link Governor for Early Years at St Peter’s.

I live in Gringley, with my husband and our two sons, both of whom spent their primary school years at St Peter’s school - a happy and positive time. My professional background is in banking and finance, from which I “retired” when I became a mum. When my sons were young I re-trained and worked in early-years childcare, including at local schools and playgroups. These days I am a serving County Councillor and a long-standing member of the PCC in Gringley.

Hello - I live in Gringley on the Hill with my wife and 2 children.  My children attend St Peter’s where they are happy and doing well.

Over an 18-year period I worked within Children’s Services within both residential and frontline Social Work settings before managing teams and then taking on specialist posts within Rotherham Safeguarding Children Board as a “Looked After Child” Reviewing Officer and as a Child Protection Case Conference Chair.  For the past 7 years I have worked alongside my wife developing what is now a thriving and successful “wholesale” business.

I wanted to be a Parent Governor so as to make a positive contribution to the outcomes of the children within the community that I live and love.

I have been working at St. Peter’s Primary school since 2002; prior to that I had worked in schools in Derbyshire. I moved back to the area, having been brought up locally. I initially started teaching in Class 2 then moved into Class 3 in 2012. I have responsibilities within the school for maths, special needs and pupil premium. I am passionate about supporting our most vulnerable children. It is a privilege to teach the oldest children in the school and help prepare them for their transition to secondary school.

I work part-time as a Senior Solicitor for a local firm of solicitors. I specialise in Civil Litigation.
