Dear Parents & Carers,
The BBC team have made an exciting revamp to the CBBC YouTube Channel.
They think you may be interested in this for entertainment at half term and outside of home-schooling hours now we’re in lockdown.
The BBC are uploading videos to it daily that are suitable for 5-11 year olds. They have all the top CBBC brands on there, with a wide range of genres from factual shows, news, dramas, comedy to entertainment. Programmes like Horrible Histories, Blue Peter, Newsround, The Next Step, Saturday Mash-Up, Operation Ouch, the Playlist, the Dumping Ground, Heirs of the Night and Jamie Johnson. They are also welcoming back Dani Harmer in the brilliant new programme My Mum Tracy Beaker.

Southwell Minster's 'Shrove Tuesday Fantastic Faces'
For half term we have created a Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday) family fun activity video, which briefly explains the origins of this festival, and then invites children to use the Minster’s fantastic faces to inspire pancake decorating. Many teachers have enjoyed sharing this resource on their online platforms, not only as a fun activity, but also as part of their RE provision. It’s a great activity to keep them busy at half term. There is an invitation to share finished creations to win a prize of a Southwelll Minster fridge magnet. BLUE PETER ON-LINE
We have launched Blue Peter on YouTube at CBBC and we were wondering if your pupils and parents would be interested in this, for entertainment outside of home-schooling hours now we’re in lockdown.
Blue Peter is the longest running kids TV show in the world and we are uploading videos to it that are suitable for 5-11 year olds. We have world record breaking challenges, arts and crafts, environmental videos, cooking and baking how tos, inspirational films, gaming, celebrity appearances, dance routines and music performances. We also feature ways of getting a Blue Peter badge, behind the scenes footage and extra content about our incredible presenters Adam, Lindsey, Mwaksy, Richie and Henry the Blue Peter dog.
